It’s funny because I was looking at the Google Trends for this week and Drinking Game for Presidential Debates is trending. So I did a little research.

People have lists of words to drink to for both candidtates. And then on Reddit, someone in the thread said, “Just get drunk before it begins.” And most of the words people list will have you drunk before long anyways! Trump drinking words includes all the gaslighting words he uses at all of his campaign events: Crooked Joe Biden, Woke, Fake News, blaming the democrats or rattles on about something incoherantly. Biden drinking words includes: Convicted, Threat, Billionaires, blames the republicans or stumbles on his words.

And that pretty much says it all on how the American people are feeling about this upcoming election and the 2 candidates from the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. No one is feeling good about this election. No one is feeling good about the direction of the U.S. and most are wishing we had other choices.

Then there are people like me who feel like both are egotistical men who are trying to prove something. Neither will stop the polarization that is happening in our country. Neither will prevent the billionaires from taking more from the middle class.

But, one of them will lead us to a dictatorship and the other one will just keep doing what he is doing. One of them will keep lying, cheating, and getting away with criminal acts, and the other will just keep people pleasing their voting base.

The choice between the two is obvious to anyone who cares about democracy. But the choice still doesn’t feel good. Which is why maybe having the 3rd choice who wasn’t invited to the debate (JFK, Jr.) would give Americans more hope.

I feel like our democracy is already lost because he is not on that stage with them. I feel like the the U.S. is on it’s way to serious hardships for everyone who is not in the top 10%. And I feel like these debates are only giving people more to be angry about and more to fight about. I think we need to stop fighting and start working together by letting go of egos and the need to be “right”. No one is right about everything. And most of the things you think are right, are just right in your head because you believe it. We need men and women in charge who don’t have to be “right”. They just need to care enough about the people they supposedly represent to do the right thing!
